Brussels, 29th November 2022: In attendance is the Ministers responsible for OACPS matters from the 78 countries in Africa, Caribbean and the Pacific and Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation from the 27 EU Member States.
The delegation of Botswana is led by Hon Dr Lemogang Kwape – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Botswana.
The two sides will discuss and exchange views on: the current global affairs, including food and energy security; the new OACPS – EU Partnership Agreement; Implementation of the Cotonou Partnership Agreement; Global Gateway Strategy, its relevance for the OACPS and the implementation of the NDICI-Global Europe; and the OACPS-EU cooperation in international fora including follow up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and preparation of the United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP-15).
Honourable Minister Kwape will lead discussions on behalf of the OACPS side on the Preparation of the United Nations Biodiversity Conference.
The meeting will conclude today.
