Brussels, 15th February 2023: Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana to the Kingdom of Belgium H.E Mrs Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba presented her Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium at the Palais Royal de Bruxelles.
His Majesty King Philippe welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated her on her new assignment as Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana to the Kingdom of Belgium. On her part, Ambassador Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba thanked Her Majesty King Philippe for receiving her and the opportunity to present her Letters of Credence. The two further discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
Botswana and Belgium enjoy excellent bilateral relations founded on shared principles and commitment towards the promotion of human rights, democracy, good governance and the rule of law. The two countries cooperate among others in the areas of mining, agriculture, tourism and education.
