Luanda (Angola), 10th December 2022: While in Luanda, Angola, the Minister of Finance Hon Peggy O. Serame had a meeting on the sidelines of the 10th Summit of the OACPS Heads of State & Governments with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E Ms Tanja Fajon. The meeting discussed amongst other things the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Slovenia and Botswana.
The Deputy Prime Minister, informed Hon. Serame that Slovenia has been following the development trajectory of Botswana with admiration and would like to forge stronger relations. In turn Minister Serame informed the Deputy Prime Minister that, Botswana has also observed the transformation that Slovenia has achieved since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The country currently enjoys a high level of prosperity and stability with a very high human development index. It was concluded that officials from both countries should meet to explore a bilateral cooperation agreement for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
