Brussels (Belgium), 8th February 2024: The Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana to the Kingdom of Belgium, H.E. Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba, hosted a working luncheon for Ambassadors from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on 7th February, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium.
10 SADC Ambassadors from Comoros, Eswatini, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, a representative from Angola and the Belgian Special Envoy for the Sahel, H.E. Mr. Bart De Groof, participated in the interactive luncheon.
Areas of mutual interest were to:
- set the strategic objectives for 2024;
- exchange views and provide updates on issues of mutual interest such as the Belgium Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU);
- & strengthen cooperation between SADC, Belgium and the EU.
