Rome (Italy), 1st July 2025: Honourable Dr. Edwin Dikoloti, Acting Minister of Lands and Agriculture, this afternoon delivered a statement on Botswana’s food security, at the ongoing 44th Session of Food and Agriculture Organisation Conference. He addressed the Conference on ‘Review of the State of Food and Agriculture.
The Honourable Minister emphasised the pivotal role the agriculture sector plays in realising Botswana’s Vision 2036 theme of “Prosperity for All”. He also highlighted challenges experienced in reaching Food security and the need for climate-smart agricultural innovation to combat challenges. ‘
The Minister concluded his address by calling upon member States, FAO and other strategic partners to come together for global food security.
